The South Devon Railway 5526 Locomotive

5526 Locomotive Ltd is the support group which saved ex GWR 2-6-2T locomotive number 5526 from being scrapped.
The locomotive was saved from Barry scrap yard in Wales and after initial repairs at Swindon was moved to the South Devon Railway where its restoration is being completed.
Recent work has been the machining of the cylinders and completion of the bunker.
Visitors to the Railway can see the locomotive in the main workshop from the viewing gallery.
